For Mac · Beta

Meeting transcription and voice dictation. 100% free.

Sloth transcribes your calls on your Mac and turns your voice into text in any app. No account, no subscription.

Why Sloth

  • No meeting bot

Nothing joins your call. Sloth listens to your Mac’s microphone and call audio, so it works with Zoom, Meet, Teams or any call app.

  • Plain files you own

Every meeting is saved as Markdown in ~/Documents/Sloth. Open it in any editor, AI tool or sync service.

  • Your own AI

Write notes with your Claude API key, your Claude subscription via Claude Code, ChatGPT or Ollama. Or use Apple Intelligence on your Mac, free.

  • Private by default

Transcription runs on your Mac. No account, no telemetry. Meeting content leaves only if you pick a hosted AI for notes.

Annotate anything, then hand it to Claude

Stop copying and pasting between tabs. Collect what you're looking at with your voice, then send the whole batch to Claude in one go.

  1. ⌥AHighlight and speak. Tap ⌥A, say your note, tap again. Sloth keeps the page address, the quote, your note and a screenshot.
  2. ⌥ARepeat. Each note joins a small panel at the top right. Expand it to read everything back.
  3. ⌥CTell Claude what to do. Tap ⌥C and speak. Your request and every note go to the Claude app or Claude Code. Or click Copy all for any other agent.
  4. ⌥QReply to a quote. Highlight part of a Claude answer and press ⌥Q. It lands in the reply box as a quote, ready for your reply.
